Caritas St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre, based in Hendon, North West London, is a charity that works with and supports people with learning disabilities.
Role description:
We are looking for a volunteer to help in the kitchen at the Centre on Friday each week from 10:00am – 13:30pm, term time only.
The role will involve assisting the cook with the preparation of the lunch which is provided for students and staff.
The volunteer must be prepared to assist not only with preparing the food but also with washing / clearing up afterwards.
Skills / aptitudes required:
• Basic food preparation skills
• Hygiene awareness and knowledge
• Enjoyment of cooking and ability to relate well with all users of the
dining room
• Ability to work with others in a team
Travel expenses (public transport) will be reimbursed and lunch is provided, if required.
