Assumption Volunteers
A gap-year & short-term volunteer programme sponsored by the Assumption Sisters
An opportunity to experience life in a Catholic country, a generation after the breakup of the Soviet Union. Assist the English teachers in a school of 500 children aged 5-18, one third with disabilities, through 1-1, small groups, mentoring, etc.
A female volunteer would live in a house with 5 Sisters and 9 university students and a male volunteer in a similar community of Brothers and students, in Vilnius, the capital city, with a fascinating history.
Hours per week: Between 35 and 40 hours
