Why not become a Befriending Volunteer and help older people feel less alone?
What will I be doing?
You will be matched with an older person, providing friendship and sharing news, views and interests.
As a Visiting Scheme Befriender you will regularly visit an older person in their own home, perhaps for a cup of tea and a chat. We are looking for committed, caring individuals who can build a long term relationship with their client and provide them with some company once a week.
PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers must be living in the Hertfordshire area to apply for this opportunity as it is a client facing role.
All our volunteers must be over 18 years old and will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and references.
