John Coleby, Director Caritas Westminster and Andrew Curtis, SEIDs Social Enterprise Consultant represented SEIDs in Brussels at the Caritas Europa consultation on
‘Innovative and strategic partnerships towards job creation’. SEIDs is Caritas Westminster’s project aimed at supporting people setting up social enterprises and other small businesses.
The conference was hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee on Friday 22 November, and Andrew Curtis also attended a planning workshop on Thursday 21 November focused on social and economic integration of migrant women.
Andrew says “It was great to be part of an international approach to solving a global challenge, and to be exploring further how SEIDs can develop opportunities for disadvantaged people to access decent and dignified work.”
