On 17th September, Caritas Westminster celebrated a beautiful inclusive Mass at Our Lady & St Joseph’s Kingsland.
This special Mass marked the relaunch of the Caritas Saturday club in Dalston, Kingsland. Fr Derek celebrated a joyful Mass with Shell from Caritas Deaf Service, signing the Mass for Deaf families who attended, alongside those with intellectual disabilities. They were joined by over two hundred parishioners.
After the Mass, lunch was enjoyed by those families who want to join the Saturday club and those who have signed up to volunteer. The Saturday club is starting again on the 7th October from 3-5pm, in the parish hall to which all are welcome.
Saturday Clubs are just one way in which the Caritas St Joseph’s Outreach Team support people with intellectual disabilities and their families across the Diocese of Westminster.
