“It does matter” – online session with the Deaf Service

According to RNID, at least 12 million people in the UK are deaf or have hearing loss, representing around 1 in 5 adults.

Inspired by RNID’s It Does Matter report, this session will explore the experiences of those who the Caritas Deaf Services works with and supports, as well as how they continue to advocate for those who are Deaf, Deafblind, hard of hearing.

Together, we will explore how churches can become more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive, while celebrating the contribution and commitment of the Deaf Service. The session will offer practical insights, raise awareness of the barriers that people can face, and encourage us all to play our part in ensuring that everyone feels welcomed, valued, and able to participate fully.
