We are looking for volunteers to help run our dynamic and vibrant Youth Club on a Thursday evening from 7pm–9pm in Borehamwood (WD6).
Hertsmere Mencap is a small and active charity, supporting a membership of 250 children and adults with a learning disability along with their families and carers. Our mission is for people with a learning disability to be valued equally, listened to and included.
Volunteering at our Thursday evening Youth Club is a lot of fun!
What you will do:
- Engage with Youth: help facilitate activities, games and discussions
- Create Fun: contribute to a lively and welcoming environment
- Be Part of a Community: work with a dynamic team
- Build skills: enhance your leadership, communication and teamwork abilities
Join a team of caring, fun and dedicated volunteers and staff; most feel a huge sense of enjoyment and satisfaction volunteering with us.
You will be:
- 16 years or over
- Enthusiastic, reliable, committed and enjoy working with youth
All volunteers will be required to provide 2 references and complete a DBS check.
