Our Prayers for Their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla

|

Caritas Westminster wishes Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, every grace and blessing on the occasion of their coronation on Saturday 8 May, and in the years ahead. We join the prayers of Cardinal Vincent Nichols, and the Catholic Church in the triduum of prayer, asking God to guide the King in his appointed tasks, and to bless his commitment to promote peace and justice.

As we look towards the coronation day we also think of all those who are giving up their time to make the whole weekend of celebrations a success, whether that is as members of the St John’s Ambulance on duty to support the crowds, people organising community gatherings, and all those involved in The Big Help Out – working for the benefit of their local communities. If your church is organising a community or volunteering event, we’d love to know about it – visit our dedicated page on the Caritas Volunteer Service site

We also remember with thanks all that the King has achieved with his charitable work as the Prince of Wales, and is continuing still.  This includes support for the provision of fridges to food projects – a service which was celebrated by a Royal Visit to the Felix Project Depot in Poplar in February.
