We are delighted to announce that Vicky Odesesan, a volunteer with Safe in Faith, won an award at the Jewish Volunteering Network (JVN) Celebration of Volunteering Awards 2022.

Safe in Faith, which was launched in November 2021, is a Caritas Westminster project which works with people of all faiths to promote safe Faith based support for survivors of domestic abuse and gender based violence

The award was presented to Vicky at a celebration event on Sunday 15 January. Nikki Dhillon Keane, project manager of Safe in Faith, said “Vicky has been an absolute superstar working above and beyond to help get the Safe in Faith project off the ground so it was lovely to see her honoured.”

Safe in Faith will soon be starting a series of training courses for clergy  and for professionals, and they are pleased to announce that Vicky will be taking up a temporary paid position to support their vital work.

The Jewish Volunteering Network has been a partner of Caritas Westminster for a number of years, having supported the setting up of our Caritas Volunteer Service.
