Caritas St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre based in Hendon, North West London, is a charity that works with and supports people with learning disabilities.
Opportunity:
We are looking for a volunteer to help in the kitchen at the centre on Thursday each week, term times only.
The volunteer will be required to help between 10.00am – 2.30pm.
The role will involve assisting the Cook with the preparation of the lunch which is provided for students, carers and staff each day.
The volunteer must be prepared to assist not only with preparing the meals but also with serving and washing / clearing up afterwards.
Skills / aptitudes:
- Basic food preparation skills
- Hygiene awareness and knowledge
- Enjoy cooking and ability to relate well with all users of the dining room
- Able to work with others in a team
