The early bird… delivers breakfast!
We need a few more volunteers to help with the distribution of breakfast to local homeless people and those in temporary accommodation.
What will you do?
You will help make hot drinks and assemble the breakfasts, then join other volunteers and distribute the breakfasts in the local neighbourhood. Mostly, the sandwiches are ready-made donations. On days when we haven’t received enough donations, we may ask you to help us make more sandwiches.
What skills or characteristics are required?
– A non-judgmental attitude
– The ability and willingness to hold a friendly conversation with the people who receive the breakfasts
– Patience
– Treating everyone (including other volunteers) with kindness and respect
– Reliability
– Follow instructions and necessary procedures (for example, Health & Safety rules)
When?
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7.30am – 9am.
You can choose on what day or days you want to volunteer and how frequently (every week, every other week, etc.), as long as you are able to commit to doing it regularly.
