Assumption Volunteers
A gap-year & short-term volunteer programme sponsored by the Assumption Sisters
Our partner in the Philippines is AMA (Associate Missionaries of the Assumption) which recruits service-oriented young professionals (Filipino and foreign) who are willing to offer a year of service by teaching or engaging in community work in the different Assumption communities and apostolic ministries of the Church throughout the country, mainly in the education and formation of the poor and the young.
A volunteer experiences a community-based culture with a lot of support and long-lasting friendships. Recently UK volunteers have worked in schools and in an ecological project. Next opportunity from January 2022.
Hours per week: Between 35 and 40 hours
