We are looking for a volunteer to support our staff team with administrative tasks for up to 10 hours a week. The role will be home-based until October, then hybrid between home and our office in Borehamwood (WD6).

To support the staff team by:

  • Undertaking reference checks and DBS checks for all new staff and volunteers for both adult activities and our childrens holiday club
  • Reviewing grant funding alerts and identifying relevant opportunities for the Grant Manager
  • Carrying out bulk printing tasks such as staff contracts for easter and summer holiday clubs, organisational policies, and adult activity flyers and calendars
  • Assisting in the recruitment process before each Holiday Club, to include liaising with local schools and colleges
  • Updating the adult activities register in Excel on a daily basis.

The role will be remote initially and will become a hybrid role when we move into premises (WD6) towards the end of the year.

You will be:

  • Experienced in Office Management
  • Computer literate; experienced with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Organised, flexible, and a team player
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling sensitive information
  • Proactive and able to work independently
  • Interested in helping people in the community by contributing your time and skills
