Bakhita House has been recognised at the London Dangoor Awards for its outstanding service to faith and belief communities in Greater London, in the Supporting Women category.
The awards, organised by the Faith & Belief Forum, celebrate the vital work of London’s faith and belief communities and highlight those working together to build a fairer and more inclusive city.
Bakhita House provides a safe home and specialist support for women who have experienced trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery, helping them to rebuild their lives with dignity, hope and independence.
We are delighted to receive this recognition and grateful to the Faith & Belief Forum for celebrating the work of Bakhita House, as well as the staff, volunteers and supporters who make it possible.
Above all, this award celebrates the courage and resilience of the women who have found safety and support at Bakhita House.
