This Project Pack is designed as a tool to support new and established projects.
Whether your project is large or small, a parish project or a formal charity, all of the information in this pack is designed as a tool to support you in setting up the project and to help you in ensuring the sustainability of your project.
Your first step is to contact the Caritas Westminster Development Worker for your hub – that is, your geographical area in the diocese. Their contact details can be found here.
Your Development Worker can help you use this project audit document to identify any gaps in the formal structure of your project. There is also helpful information on legal compliance and other important policies and procedures of which you should be aware. We have included a detailed section on Volunteer Management with all the relevant volunteer forms that you should be using as well as sections on Safeguarding, H&S and Financial Planning. We have also included information on how to turn your project into a formal charity or a social enterprise operation.
In producing this pack, we have taken advice from some of the experts in the voluntary sector such as the Charities Commission, NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations), SEIDS (Social Innovation and Enterprise Hub) and the Caritas Volunteer Service to ensure that we are sharing the most up-to-date information with you.
